Shop Talk!
Here are some exciting shop updates:
Planning is underway for "French Flea Trunk Shows"! You pick the location - your home, the home of a friend or family member, your clubhouse... You give us your email invitation list and we will send the e-vites and keep up with RSVP's. You provide refreshments and we will come set up a beautiful display of French Flea items for your friends, family and co-workers! These items will reflect the French Flea look of anything french, shabby, vintage, rusty, chippy! For hosting the party, you will receive French Flea merchandise and you will also receive merchandise for the total sales made!
Look for a small "boutique" section at the shop coming soon. We carried some consignment clothing last spring and summer at the shop across the street and we will carry some boutique items again. It won't lessen the amount of furniture, just be added in an unused area!
Some GREAT pieces will be coming to the shop this week - pictures should start being posted tomorrow!

Nicole Muro at Muro Carson Photography!
Nicole Muro is a very sweet customer at the shop who bought a few things over the past few weeks to use at a bridal tea she had been planning. She sent me some pictures today and she did a great job! Tufted and Tissue Tutorials!
Tufted fabric headboards are very popular right now and I've had several customers who have told me they made their own fabric headboards. Here is one tutorial for making your own tufted headboard using plywood, foam padding, fabric and buttons.

I have a growing list of customers looking for the long dresser/buffet pieces. This is at the top of my list for shopping on Monday and Tuesday and I promise to keep finding these for everyone on the list! Please feel free to call and check with me on the status of these pieces and anything else you have asked me to look for.

Reclaim Restore Resalvage Repurpose
These are all popular terms now for taking something old and "repurposing" into something that might be updated or used to function in a different way. Take your grandmother's old cameo or other type brooch and add to a cuff bracelet, take an unused ornate picture frame and turn into a tray, add something decorative to old mason jars and use to hold flowers, turn old silver trays into chalkboards or add magnet and hold photos!
