I did another trunk show today at Beth and Michael's house. They are a very sweet couple who bought quite a few pieces at my shop. They have a great house off of Patton Chapel in Hoover and have done a wonderful job fixing it up! I had forgotten all the pieces they bought from me but many in these pictures were from the shop!
Elizabeth wrote a wonderful post today about the terrible devastation in our state of Alabama and beyond so hope you will read it when you have a chance. I couldn't have said it any better about how we are all feeling for those affected...

Here is a very cute idea I got from my sister-in-law. Take a picture frame and remove the glass, picture and any backing. Purchase some screen wire and cut it to fit the back inset of the frame. My sister-in-law hot glued dowels to hold the screen wire taut. Then sit it on a cute decorative stand and you have a great display piece to hold earrings or other jewelry! (I am working on some of these to put in booth and have at my next trunk show which is this Saturday!)
The robins eggs blue piece is an antique cabinet with glass knobs and would make a great TV stand (THIS PIECE HAS SOLD). The two french provencial pieces are a desk painted chocolate brown/antique white/pale gray and nightstand/end table (BOTH SOLD). (I'm sorry, I need to double check the prices I put on these and post when I have them - I know I priced the nightstand at $42.00)
Here's a new piece I just put in this morning. The mirror is sold separately at $29.00. This cute piece can be used as a dresser or buffet, tons of storage!
If you haven't been to Encore Resales in Pelham, you can find some beautiful furniture here. The owners have great painted pieces that are just adorable and there are also many vendor booths! You can go to Encore's website, www.encoreresales.com and see pictures of current inventory in the store. Their hours are Monday-Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 1-5!
Encore Resales, where I have a booth now, will be having a 1 day Vendor Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 7th from 8:00-5:00! I think the booths will be set up in the front parking lot area.
Leigh Ann at andinandoutofweeks.blogspot.com featured a chalkboard I have on Etsy today on her blog. Thanks Leigh Ann! She also has a cute Etsy shop that you can link to from her site. http://andinandoutofweeks.blogspot.com/2011/04/little-humor-and-wise-advice.html

Here are a couple of mirrors I just put into my booth at Encore. I don't have the dimensions with me to post but they are large and one is painted antique white, the other robins egg blue and distressed.
The most popular posts I have had on the blog are on rustic, vintage, shabby chic, anthropologie inspired weddings and since it is that time of year, today I'm posting some more inspiration!
