Handmade Home, Perfectly Imperfect, New in Booth!

I am adding two great blogs to my blog list today - the first blog I'm adding is thehandmadehome.net. I think she is a big DIY'er and I love the picture frames!

These pictures come from a blog I have posted about before - perfectlyimperfectblog.com. I think I posted before about her tutorial for chalk paint but she has a very cute house with some great painted pieces. I love the idea of painting doors in your home. It adds character and I hope to get my nerve up to do one soon!

Here are a few new things in booth today. I have a few old windows so if you are looking for some for a project, they are only $12.00 each!

Katie's China Cabinet

Katie sent me a picture of how this china cabinet looks in her home after I painted it for her - thank you Katie, it looks great!

Some More Great Ideas...

An ottomon is great to use as a coffee table if you have small kids.
This wall art gives a great pop of color - here is the link for a tutorial: http://jensidea.blogspot.com/2011/06/easy-art-blocks.html
The caption on this pic said that these are just white Ikea panels and they painted on the stripes!
Cute idea for bathroom vanity!
Damask wallpaper is so cute added to cabinets.

More Chalk Paint Colors

I saw on Miss Mustard Seed's blog today (she's on blog roll to the right!) an adorable piece she recently did using Greek Blue chalk paint. You can go to her blog to get instructions on how she achieved this look.

I just recently bought Olive and here is the piece I just did in olive.

It's really fun to try mixing - I purposely chose the Olive because you can mix it with Old White and get several lighter shades of green which I will also be trying!

Painted Pieces Recently Sold...

Here are some pieces I have recently done for customers and dealers!

Mirrored Doors, New in Booth and Pinterest Pics!

I blogged a week or two ago that a customer, Jeanine, and I were going to work on a mirrored door for her daughter to use at Auburn. Jeanine is going to send me a picture of the final piece after this weekend but the first pic is before it was finished. The second one is another one I am working on!

Here are a few things I put in my booth today or just finished for dealers.

Here are some cute ideas from Pinterest today. I love the first picture of the black and white photo inside this frame.
This photo on Pinterest is from a blog that shows how to create a crackle effect using elmer's glue. I think the blog is called makethebestofthings.blogspot.com. I want to try it!

Loading Dock South in Helena

I became a customer of Loading Dock South when I had my shop in Old Town Helena. They are tucked away on a street behind Old Town (you can get directions and contact info. on their website, loadingdocksouth.com). This business is owned and operated by a very nice family! They carry residential building products - some first quality merchandise and also discontinued and slightly damaged items. They carry custom order kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, windows and doors, two size carpet squares, lighting, trim and moulding and more! Here are some pics I took today of their warehouse.

Laura Lynn sent the following pictures from customers showing how they have used items from Loading Dock South in their home or business. The first picture by the way is of City Cafe. Apparently they just opened their second restaurant (the first in Helena) in Alabaster!
