Here's some info. from the owners at Shoppe Serendipity about an upcoming Open House:
Shoppe Serendipity will be having a Fall Open House on October 20 all day.  Local stylist, Farrah Shunnarah from Resultz Salon in Cahaba Heights, will be on hand doing pink hair extensions benefitting breast cancer awareness. Sylvia, with Gameday in Style will be available to put together outfits for our shoppers & she'll be offering gift certificates.  Mary Lou or Deedy will hopefully have a class to teach folks how to work with the decorative mesh they sell. We hope to have events throughout the day.  We will provide drinks & snacks all day.

Bella Rustica, a Vintage Barn Marketplace, will be held Sept. 28-30 in Pulaski, TN.  Guest speaker will be Donna Williams of Funky Junk Interiors and she will host several workshops during the event.

Rustic Frames on Etsy in Your Custom Wedding Colors and Farmhouse Antiques

Here are some pics of a frame order I recently did for bridesmaids gifts for a fall wedding.  I matched this teal color up to a David's Bridal bridesmaids dress color.  If you are interested in ordering frames for your bridesmaids, you can go to my Etsy shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/thefrenchfleashop) and let me know your colors and I will custom the frames to your wedding colors!

I heard the other day from Sue at The Blu Building that Farmhouse Antiques will be closing at the end of the month because Tanya, the owner, had been renting and the landlord has sold the house.  If you haven't been, it's located between Alabaster and Calera on Hwy 31.  It dates back to the early 1900s and also on the property is an old smokehouse, cistern, a couple of barns and a well house!

Furniture Pieces, Blog Roll Posts and Cash Mobs!

Here is a new piece I will be carrying to my booth at Easy Street tomorrow.  It would serve as a dresser, buffet or changing table!

Here is a bench I recently did for Ashley!

There are some really good posts on my blog roll today.  Jennifer Rizzo has a very helpful post on using paste wax vs. polycrylic on furniture and Miss Mustard Seed has a post on using Hemp Oil as a top coat on furniture.

I saw where the HBA (Helena Business Association) is starting Cash Mobs to support Helena businesses.  The first Cash Mob will be at The Bead Biz on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Carmella's Italian Ice will have snacks and drinks for purchase and the Helena Belles will be hostessing!

Papa Saia's, Easy Street Yard Sale and Trash to Treasure!

It was sad when the landmark restaurant Incahoots closed its doors in Helena years ago and the building sat vacant for several years but now it's great to have Papa Saia's there.  Papa Saia's is a restaurant/sports bar and offers lunch and dinner with karaoke, live music, tiki bar and more!  If you are coming through Helena and have not checked it out, fall is the perfect time to sit on the covered patio and enjoy the waterfalls and this view!

I'm putting a distressed mirrored door in my booth at Easy Street...

Easy Street will be having their second Community Yard Sale & Flea Market this Saturday, 9/15 from 8:00-12:00.  They are located in Pelham off of Hwy 31 in the McAlister's Deli shopping center!

Here is a piece I rescued that a neighbor was actually throwing away!  Here is a before and after:

A shop in Coronado, CA is carrying my frames now!  I just shipped them an order of black and white frames because they have a lot of black and white in the shop so here are a few pics:
