DIY Projects, Vintage Chair and Signs

I have been seeing so many cute DIY projects on Pinterest lately.  Here are some adorable DIY chandeliers...

These flowers are made from coffee filters!

This is a pinwheel table runner but you also see pinwheels alot now on walls.

I love this - this is fabric on embroidery hoops, so cute and inexpensive!

I found some great finds this weekend to use for weddings and photo shoots -
here is a vintage velvet chair I found...

Here is a sign I have in my space at Serendipity - so sweet in a baby's room.

It's always fun to look at things in the thrift store and think of how to repurpose them-
this was a chain belt and will be turned into a necklace!

Vintage Props, Pennant Banners and Backdrops

I've started making pennant banners!  I have posted before about starting to build up inventory to offer distressed furniture and decor for rustic vintage weddings.  So my plan is to offer items for rental AND for sale that will be perfect for your rustic, vintage, shabby chic or barn wedding and other events as well as offer props for photo shoots such as engagement photo shoots, baby and family!  I also want to offer lots of custom items so if you wanted a sign at your wedding or photo shoot with your names or if you want a custom banner, etc., those would be available for sale.  More details soon!

When I was looking up ideas for photo props, I noticed these great backgrounds a lot of photographers use and found out that sometimes they make these backdrops and faux flooring using rolls of vinyl or some other material that looks like old barn wood.  So when I was in Hobby Lobby the other day, I came across this SCRAPBOOK PAPER!  My photography is not so great but you get the idea!

Sweet G's Aprons

My sister gave my sister-in-law and I these adorable aprons made by Michelle Gauldin of Sweet G's (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sweet-Gs-Delights/315403225153810?sk=info).  Michelle took fabric from one of our mom's aprons and added it to the apron with other vintage looking fabric.  It's a wonderful keepsake because my mom was an amazing cook and it will be a special reminder of her everytime any of us are cooking!

Here is a piece I put in my booth at Greystone Antiques - could be repurposed to use as an adorable changing table or buffet or dresser or to hold TV!  I know one person may be going to look at it so if I find out if sold I will post that on blog...

Repurpose Your Old Furniture, Nightstand and Ferns!

Here is a before and after of a piece I recently painted for Catherine.  Her fiance' had grown up with this chest of drawers in his room and so it was sentimental but kind of outdated so they removed all the stickers and brought it to me to paint and distress in an antique white.  Catherine brought cute drawer pulls (the two pulls on top left drawer are on back order but will match ones on the right!) and now it has a fresh look!

Here is a cute nightstand I put in booth at Greystone Antiques the other day!

The Pelham High School Cheerleaders are having a fundraiser selling ferns for $15.00.  They are greenhouse grown and in 10 inch pots.  You can choose from 3 types of healthy, beautiful ferns delivered to your door!  Delivery date is May 8 just in time for Mother's Day.  If you are interested, please contact Susan Hurst at 876-4621 or zetalady79@gmail.com.  Please let her know by Wednesday, May 7!
