Bathrooms Don't Have to be Boring!

Sometimes bathrooms are the least decorated parts of your house but there are many things you can do to spruce up your bathroom to look more stylish, warm and luxurious!

Using a piece of furniture such as a buffet, dresser or console table as your bathroom vanity is a great look and easy to do.

If you are building a home, consider asking your builder to give you the allowance on bathroom mirrors and instead of the standard wall to wall mirror, pick out ornate or rustic his and her mirrors and the builder can mount...or, consider hanging mirrors on top of the wall to wall mirrors.

Another thing that's popular now is hanging a petite crystal or other type chandelier above the garden tub.

Use baskets, iron planters, rustic urns and other unique pieces to store rolled towels.

Use distressed and vintage wall hooks to hang robes, towels, jewelry and more!

Sofies Haus

I didn't even switch this blog to English, I just love the photos, but I think she's from Germany.
So adorable.

I like how she's layered the mirrors and used the basket for display below.

I love this shop and how they use crisp white, gray and black!
Notice the great gray cupboard in the window display.

Spring Cleaning - Furniture for Cash?

I need furniture!!! Since now is a great time for spring cleaning, if you have any furniture sitting in your basement or garage that you aren't using or would like to replace some pieces in your home for something new, send me a picture of your furniture and either tell me how much you want for each piece or if I think it is something I can sell in the shop, I can make you an offer. I'm looking more for inexpensive pieces that I could refurbish with paint, hardware, etc. rather than expensive pieces since I have to mark up to sell in shop. If you have anything, please email me at kbush422@gmail.com. If we make a deal, arrangements can be made for drop off or pick up!

Rustic Vintage Shabby Chic Wedding Reception Ideas

Since my shop has been open, I've had a bunch of brides-to-be in buying chalkboard doors, silver tray chalkboards, rustic burlap bow frames and other items for their rustic, vintage, shabby chic style weddings/wedding receptions. Here are some pictures from homeandharmony.blogspot.com of a barn wedding using great rustic pieces.

You can purchase various glass vintage containers and add a brooch or other embellishment. The last photo shows containers used for a wedding - just wrap twine tightly around the jars and secure in back, and add your vintage brooch or other embellishment and use to hold candles or flowers! Photos from clothandpatina on etsy and chandeliermagic.blogspot.com

An old window is a great way to display photos - you can get these clips and adhere to the window and clip on the photos backed by scrapbook paper for this look! Photo from alittlebitvintage.blogspot.com
